The UFA strives to embody our commitment to anti -racism in our work and advocacy for UM’s faculty. Whether in sponsoring anti-racism trainings for faculty members, evaluating our internal norms and standards, or learning to address and dismantle white supremacy in the way we do our work, we have and will continue to learn much. It is in this context that we fight for due process for all our faculty. We recognize that we cannot dictate outcomes, but we ensure a process that, historically, has provided necessary protections for those faculty members who have called out and named patterns of institutional racism in this University and across the state.
