Collective Bargaining

The UFA negotiating team has met repeatedly with representatives of the administration.

As of the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester, many of the significant issues remain unresolved and the current CBA remains in effect. The Collective Bargaining Agreement governs all faculty at the University of Montana who are .5 FTE or greater, including tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenured appointments.

The current CBA will remain in effect until a new agreement is entered in to and so this negotiation is critical to ensure consistency in governance and representation of all members of the bargaining unit.

The UFA has selected four members of its executive board to negotiate with the system and they will be sitting down with their counterparts over the coming months.

Any member with questions or concerns about the negotiation can reach out to and we will have more information in the coming months.
